Our Northern Beaches Dining Series continues after our first stop at the award-winning Nu Nu Restaurant in Palm Cove. This time, we’re keeping things local — and we mean really local. Just a 2-minute walk from Bellbry Lodge, The Bluewater delivers a dining experience that combines marina views, laid-back vibes and a menu designed for every taste.

The Atmosphere

Set on the edge of Bluewater Marina, this stylish venue offers both indoor dining and a breezy outdoor deck where yachts gently sway in the background. It’s a space that feels both relaxed and polished — perfect for a casual long lunch, a sunset spritz or an unhurried dinner under the stars.

The Menu: Small Plates, Big Flavours

The Bluewater’s menu celebrates fresh, local ingredients with something for every palate.

Start light by sharing a few plates with friends:

  • Fish Tacos – Crispy flathead with avocado-tomato salsa and sweet chilli lime sauce.

  • Pork Mince & Chorizo Croquettes – Golden and crisp with silky cauliflower purée.

  • Tempura Queensland Prawns – With Asian slaw and wasabi kewpie.

  • Crispy Cauliflower Bites – Plant-based perfection with pickled vegetables and spicy tahini.

If you prefer a larger plate, options range from fresh and nourishing to hearty and indulgent:

  • Greek Pulled Lamb Salad – Tender slow-cooked lamb with zesty lemon-olive oil dressing.

  • Bluewater Buddha Bowl – Quinoa, roasted pumpkin, hummus and avocado topped with crispy chickpeas.

  • Bluewater Parmigiana – A house-crumbed chicken breast, elevated with prawns, ham, Napoli sauce and melted mozzarella.

  • Pan-Seared Salmon Risotto – A rich, zesty risotto with peas, parmesan, and dill oil.

And for classic comfort, there’s pizza straight from the oven — from a traditional Margherita to the flavour-packed Jack’s Pizza with garlic prawns and chorizo.

From the Grill

The Bluewater also knows how to impress when it comes to the grill:

  • Korean-Style Pork Sirloin – Twice-cooked and glazed with gochujang, served with coconut rice and kimchi.

  • Bluewater Sirloin – A juicy 250g steak with rosemary potatoes, charred broccolini, and red wine jus.

  • Scotch Fillet Steak – A premium 300g cut with your choice of sides and sauce.

“Grill lovers, this is your paradise by the marina.”

Spritzers & Cocktails: Drinks with a View

Of course, no visit is complete without something refreshing in hand. The drinks list is as lively as the marina itself.

Spritzers with Tropical Vibes

  • Limoncello Spritz – Bright and zesty.

  • Aperol Spritz – A classic Italian favourite.

  • Wolf Lane Grapefruit Spritz – A Cairns-made aperitif paired with lychee and apple.

📍 Bellbry tip: Arrive for Aperitivo Hour, 5–6pm daily, when the spritzers sparkle even brighter as the sun sets over the water.

Cocktails with Personality

  • Tommy’s Margarita – The tequila version of a mic drop.

  • Summer Splice – Sweet, tropical, and just a little cheeky.

  • Absolutely Sour – Passionfruit-forward and full of drama.

  • Jaffa Old Fashioned – A chocolate-orange twist on a classic.

  • Strawberry Fields Forever – Gin, fruit, and sunshine in a glass.

  • Lychee Mai Tai – Exotic, sweet, and unforgettable.
